Detecting Users’ Other Financial Accounts

This endpoint allows you to detect financial accounts users might own based on transfers, deposits, and account info.

With this endpoint, you can:

• Prompt users to connect other financial accounts to your app (see screenshot below)
• Display accounts that users have already connected to

Why we launched this endpoint

• Oftentimes a user only connects a single account to a fintech app even though they own multiple accounts

Use Cases

• Build personalized financial experiences by identifying a user’s total income, spend, and assets across multiple accounts
• Improve risk models by analyzing signals and behaviors across multiple connected accounts
• Customize which accounts appear in Plaid’s “suggested accounts” screen (see example above)
